Handyman Services in Denver, Colorado

What Denver homes actually need

About 20 to 25 minutes up I-25 from our Greenwood Village shop.

A huge share of Denver's core housing predates 1940: brick bungalows through Washington Park and Congress Park, Denver Squares and Victorians in Baker and Five Points, and tight lots with alley-access garages almost everywhere in between. These are well-built houses, but a century of settling means very little in them is still plumb, level, or a standard size.

Older housing stock brings its own vocabulary of problems: plaster and lath that cracks differently than drywall, settled door and window openings that are no longer square, painted-shut sashes, and trim profiles that no longer exist at the big-box store.

Front Range homes sit on expansive clay soils that swell and shrink with every wet-dry cycle. The house moves with them, and the symptoms show up indoors first: hairline cracks reopening above door frames, interior doors that stick in spring and swing free by August, nail pops marching across a ceiling.

Where we spend our time

Work we take on most in Denver

Plaster and lath repair

Patching plaster is not the same job as patching drywall, and treating it like drywall is how you end up with a repair that cracks again in a year. We match the substrate and feather it so the wall reads flat.

Doors and windows that have moved

Century-old openings go out of square. Rather than force a modern slab into a crooked frame, we adjust, shim, and rehang so the door latches without being shouldered.

Basement and attic conversions

Space is scarce on a Denver lot, so the room you need is usually already in the house. We handle framing, drywall, trim, and finish work to turn an unfinished level into something usable.

Neighborhoods we cover

Serving Denver and the areas around it

We work throughout Denver, including Washington Park, Baker, Berkeley, Park Hill, Congress Park, Highlands and Cherry Creek, across ZIP codes 80202, 80209, 80210, 80211, 80218, 80220. If you are just outside these, call anyway. We would rather tell you yes or no than have you guess.

Every job starts the same way: we look at it, we tell you what it needs, and we quote it before any work begins. No surprises added at the end.

Questions we get from Denver homeowners

Do you charge to come out to Denver?

We quote before we start, and the quote covers the trip. About 20 to 25 minutes up I-25 from our Greenwood Village shop. If the job is small, tell us what else is on your list and we will usually price the whole thing together so one visit covers it.

How big does a job have to be?

It does not. We built this business on the jobs other contractors will not return calls about, and we will happily take an afternoon of small repairs. If a running list of little things is what you have, that is an ideal visit for us.

Do you handle commercial work in Denver?

Yes. Roughly half our work is commercial: retail, offices, restaurants and similar spaces. We schedule around your hours so the work does not cost you business.

Need a hand in Denver?

Tell us what is on the list. We will take a look, give you a straight quote, and get it done right the first time.
